The Salina Chamber has many education and training program partners to assist expanding and incoming companies meet their personnel needs. With ten post secondary education institutes within 100 miles of Salina (four located in Salina itself), and funded job incentives, the Salina Chamber's specialists offer a one-stop workforce resource center to coordinate the efforts to meet employer education and training requirements.


Local post secondary education institutes work closely with employers to create customized training program. Flexibility is the goal, with programs tailored to specific needs.


Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus


Kansas State Polytechnic is home to the College of Technology and Aviation. Bachelor's and Master's degrees are offered in the fields of engineering technology, professional pilot, aviation maintenance, technology management, family studies and human services. The academic programs are designed to prepare people directly for the world of work, are very application oriented and laboratory intensive. Students learn by doing. The college regularly places more than 95 percent of its graduates and each year several employers actively recruit on campus.


Kansas Wesleyan University


Kansas Wesleyan University offers more than thirty undergraduate majors, including those in the fields of art, music, theatre, communications, education, criminal justice, athletic training, sports management, nursing, science, mathematics, business, and computer studies. The University also offers Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration with Sports Management emphasis degrees.


Salina Area Technical College


Salina Area Technical College has been serving the needs of students and employers in the Salina Area for more than 40 years. Salina Tech provides modern facilities and equipment for the education of our students. Space is set aside for on-demand training programs when needs arise. In addition to our 14 full time programs, Salina Tech has a continuing education and business and industry department. 


Customized classes for business and industry that are within the scope of our 14 technical programs of study. Salina Tech has partnerships that allow them to tap into additional resources both at the college level and state level, accessing state training funds through the Department of Commerce.
